“Fine craftsmanship is an art form that weds beauty and practicality.” Sera Gesmundo

As a furniture builder, Jack Gesmundo learned years ago how to carefully shape and finish wood into things of lasting and functional beauty. Today, his skill in fine woodworking is evident in custom furniture, architectural details and custom cabinetry—as well as all of Hawks Hollow’s remodeling projects and custom homes. That’s why the Hawks Hollow name is synonymous with excellence in luxury homes throughout the Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and Richland areas.
Although some may view cabinetry as a detail to be quickly dealt with, we at Hawks Hollow bring to custom cabinetry the same stringent discipline which strengthens all of our work. First we conduct a needs analysis and carefully organize the available space. Then we generate drawings, determine the cabinet style, select the species of wood and specify finish or paint colors. Final touches are the hardware choices and the selection of countertop materials.
Running our own 8,000-square foot woodworking shop—complete with an automotive-quality spray booth—gives us the ability to choose superior hardwoods and finishes. That means we can choose just the right raw materials for the transcendent beauty of our hand-crafted cabinetry and custom-milled trims and moldings.
